JERRY GLENN (KENNEDY)
That record from Jerry Glen Kennedy was cut in Nashville in September1953. A first session held in Dallas in February 1953 produced two records (RCA 47-5233 and RCA 47-5323). In September 1953 another session produced also two records (RCA 47-5491 and RCA 47-5599) and was the last until December 1957 when Jerry cut the classic "Teenage Love is Misery" for Brunswick. After Jerry lost his father in 1950, he became a kind of Tillman Franks' protegé. That's Tillman who got him his RCA contract and the first session was a split one with Sunshine Ruby. The September 1953 session was produced by Chet Atkins. Later, Jerry will marry Linda Brannon who recorded for RAM record in Shreveport before moving to Nashville and becoming producer.
