Uncle Gill,
Zeb Turner is best remembered for his biggest novelty hit "Chew Tobacco Rag" (8-April 1951 on The Country Chart) (King 950)
Novelty songs used to be a delightful part of our culture back then, jukeboxes in every restaurant, customers would know the lyrics and sing these songs with smiles on their faces. Humor mostly left the charts with the 1980s. The loveable downside of these songs was when they left the charts you were ready for them to go :-)
