Bill Mack is a great singer and, I guess, a contemporary of Hank Williams. That begs the question. What came first, Hank Williams or the Hank Williams sound? Were these singers copying Hank or was Hank singing in the style of the day. Mack recorded in Texas and Williams in Alabama, Tennessee, and Louisiana. But both have the same relaxed style of singing. I'm sure each could sing the other's songs just as well.
