Does anybody known where Marathon was located?

Sorry, Boussole and me, we don't know.

Lonnie Lillie Marthon (TX) 5003 also used similer font & yellow label. There was also a Marthon (OH) Elrondos & Marathon (MS) Rich McQueen. I have not seen label shoots for these. Any Idea of date of issue for thr Jay Chevalier ? I'm guessing mid 60's as if it is Marathon (TX) the numbering system is not the 5000 series?

The font is not really similar. The label could be from Texas, of course, but also from Louisiana. Do not forget that Jay Chevalier was a Louisiana Man...

Hmm, the font of both the marathon and the title/artist info match this:

The record at the above link is on Jack Boswell's Toronto Marathon label. Some of his earlier LP labels black on a solid yellow background.

Good find, Lefty! Thanks!
