By this time (1972), the typical Flying Burrito Brothers show, now known as "The Hot Burrito Revue", consisted of Rick Roberts performing the best known songs from the band's history, adding a few new songs to the setlist, including one song he wrote called "I Already Know" (which remains unrecorded by him as a studio version), and the remainder of the show was given over to the bluegrass musicians, already recording under the name of "Country Gazette", playing mostly familiar instrumental tunes by the likes of Flatt & Scuggs, etc...

The major show in Holland was at the "Concertgebouw" in Amsterdam in March 1972, and unknown to Rick Roberts at the time, the whole show was recorded, part of which soon emerged on a bootleg LP titled "Sin City Amsterdam". Later, under pressure from the Dutch based record label, Rick Roberts agreed that the show could be released officially, but in Holland only, and in 1973 Ariola released this, a double LP set called "Live In Amsterdam" containing most of the show. This double LP was later released in the U.K. on the Bumble label. Some tracks, not on this LP, were later released in Holland only, on an LP called «Bluegrass Special », along with tracks already on the double LP. Another single LP was later released, also in Holland only, called «In Concert », with selected tracks from the double LP.
