I'm glad for you, TrashTom!
These albums are home made...

Hi Gil
I had that feeling, these are homemade, but wasn't sure.
Many songs, I never heard before...I feel a bit like a "bad" Gene Fan, because I could have done my homework.Thank you (?) or someone else who compiled this, a truly Fan piece of work!!!
I look on your blog once or twice a week, not leaving a comment so often, so I will take the opportunity to say again - THANK YOU so much for this Number One Blog !!! It's almost, visiting an old friend, listening to his record collection...and you know, good friends don't always need to talk ;-) - there's the love for Music,
that connects.
Have a nice weekend

Little on these CDs qualify as the roots of Gene Vincent. Its got to be a joke-I mean Gracie Fields for Godssakes. Now is the Hour is a Maori song from the late 40s.
If Vincent was still alive he'd sue over this lot.
The true roots of Gene Vincent are in stone country music

I can see Gene & I doin' a little 420 and listening to this collection. I'm sure Ol' Gene would enjoy each & every one of them. Paraphrasing that 'Voice Crying Out In The Wilderness' ... "Well ah, Bee Bop A Lula" - 's time to put the cat out.

Searnav a dit…

Of course it's Gene's roots!!! The joke is in Family Cat's comments.

What a truly wonderful collection! Well done, and thank you VERY much!!
