Loving these recent Hag uploads--thanks so much!
Merci beaucoup!
I had the great good fortune to hear Merle in concert when he was touring to support the release of this album. I was a semi-snotty college kid who knew Merle only from "Okie From Muskogee," but one of my West Texas fraternity brothers talked me and my wife into plunking down a hard-earned $3 per ticket -- and I instantly had two new heroes -- Merle and Bob Wills. My wife liked the music, too, but her main memory of the concert: "I just remember Merle's beautiful clothes."
While the other bloggers are privatising, you guys really keep it going with always great taste and choice. This latest is a continuation of your greatness. My acknowledgements and appreciations. Thanx, BC
I had no idea this existed and liked it very much. Cheers and keep up the good work.
Any chance of getting Merle's "Swinging Doors And The Bottle Let Me Down" from 1966?
Thanks for all the work you do!
Sorry, "Swinging Doors" album was lost...
