This is really a shame. Red had one of the greatest blogs in the world. I know, for sure, that I will miss it. I just wish that people would mind their own stupid business and leave others alone. It is a sad world that we live in. I hope that you continue for a long time.
I am going to miss red very much he had a great blog with good music wich i enjoyed very much.
peter
What a bastard. I'll miss his blog.
Hope he comes back.
I couldn't have said it better Uncle Gil.
It seems that one (or more?) lost soul(s)decided to kill another great blog.
Red, you will be sorely missed. Many thanks for everything, but mostly for your friendship and your great sense of humour. We'll keep in touch my friend.
Johnny
I'm not really sure I understand the reasoning behind Red's decision (as explained here), but do join those who bemoan the loss of a GREAT blog. Here's hoping Red comes back -- at some point, in some form. Many, many thanks, Red!
Yes, very sad. Red had a great blog.
A great blog and a tireless supporter of real country music.
Seems like there always must be an a***ole, whatever anyone tries to do.
Way things are going fun itself will eventually be illegal.
What a damn shame. Most of that material you can't get anyway, so who's it hurting?
One less source of good country music.

The problem with today's world is that people who can't find a way to be happy have to make everyone else miserable to elevate their sagging pathetic existence.
I wish Red the most wonderful future. I sure hope he stays intouch. His generosity, humor, and overall down home friendliness will be missed tremendously by thousands of people but for the joy of a few blighted souls on society.
See ya down the trail Red, stay tall in your saddle.
What a drag, Red's blog (like this one here) could always be counted on to provide great listening AND learning, and Cyril's steel guitar LP posts were especially appreciated.
Best of luck to you, Mr. Neckerson!
Red's Blog was the greatest for country fans such as myself. His singles were eclectic, eccentric and some were downright wonderful country music and I for one would never have got to hear such music were it not for Red. But it wasn't just the music - Red himself came across to us and I would love to have shared a beer with him - he feels like an old friend.
Please Uncle Gil keep up your good work - yours was the first music blog I discovered and you too are a great trailblazer for hard to get music.
Stuff the spoilers and saddoes!
Geezer
Dammit. One of the great music blogs gone. Red came across as one hell of a guy. The kind of guy who is into real music, has a sense of humour, and is probably not averse to the occasional beer. Your blog will be hugely missed Red. Many thanks for all the work you put in.
Hope to hear from you some day.
Boogiewoody
I miss him a lot
wish he and others would have got a Yahoo Groups and get away from google and their blogs and their trusted friends and robot
hope he come back soon
and i want to add this is a great music blogs and i check it all the time. thanks for all the hard but great work!!!
Hi Uncle Gil,
It is very sad to hear that Red had to stop huis blog.
All he did was making people happy with music.
Through the years we became buddies and I was happy that I could do a bit for the music lovers too, esspecially with my steel guitar lp's.
It is unbelieveble that it is over.
I like to thank all the music lovers out there for their support and comments.
Greetings, Cyril
Here's a message for the few sad men who comb through blogs in hope of destroying the pleasure, generosity and good will of others:
Stop it.
This has nothing to do with anything other than inner anguish. You're sick and in need of help. Try to seek it, if not for others then for your own sake.
Give us --and yourself-- a break.
Hi Red, I will miss your blog. I checked it each day for your great stuff, and it was a part of my night-time. What a shame that there still are creatures who try to disturb our small worldwide community of classic country music lovers. I will email you the next days (as soon as I have more time). Maybe we can meet us in P2P Direct Connect in a private hub where I'm a member. Surely you will remember me.
ARMIN from Germany
Sincerely, best wishes to you, and to all the others here.
Hats off and raise a glass to RED NECKERSON!
Thanks for all the great C&W. Thanks Uncle Gil for all you do and keeping it alive.
My life is a little poorer due to Red's decision to close up shop.
I really don;t understand the type of harrassment he faced.
I hope that you and the others helping to keep this music alive avoid these problems
Thanks Red and thanks Uncle Gil
The winners in this world (and Red sure was one of those winners) far out number the losers. Yet our world today, all it takes is one or two "loud" losers to mess it up for everybody else. May a cancer infest their gene pools and wipe the damn losers off the planet!
Agree - I am grateful for the efforts of Uncle Gil, Red, Harlan & Johnny and all of the others striving to keep alive a form of music that the mass media is seeking to exterminate
I don't blame Red for getting fed up.
Sure going to miss his blog though. I got some good stuff from him and he was always nice and helpful when I corresponded with him.
Hope to see you back someday Red.
Thanks.
This is getting frustrating. Good blogs from all genres are dropping like flies. To all those country, string band, gospel and comedy blog proprieters TY and I was there even if I didn't have anything to say. I meant to leave a thank you but I always put it off. I apologize for that. My plans to start a blog of my own are off for the foreseeable.
Farewell Red, and I thank you.
I really like this blog (it was my first) but since you have switched sites (http://ul.to/) those of us in the U.S. can't access anything. What a shame I have to miss so much great music.
I'm really sorry, why2k...
If "uploaded.to" is closed for US visitors, can you upload with "freakshare" ?. Since the Megaupload down we try some other servers...
A shame because I had paid for a one year Uploading subscription. Now they took my money and stopped serving the US. I was also a subscriber to Megaupload, so that money is gone. I am afraid to pay Rapidshare again - they could go under....and Freakshare looks so flimsy, so I'm afraid to pay them. I mean, with a name like Freakshare, do you trust them with your cash? Freakshare is difficult to deaI with as an unpaid user. I prefer Mediafire right now.
Never pay, Gyro1966!
I just added one MF link.
Mediafire is a friendly one but under the eyes of the FBI...
Thanks for the Mediafire link!
