All are artists on this EP used to doing covers of the hits of the day. These names are seen on the U.S. Royale budget label and, in Australia, on the W&G label. As far as I can remember an article from long time ago, the label was based in Brussels. According to the same paper Tommy Clayton was then based in Belgium, doing his military duties and he was contacted and recorded by the label owner.
Long Chris et les Daltons recorded also for the same Pacific label.
Thanks, Bob for the info... useful.
Congrats for your blogs!
All the best
Thanks Uncle Gil for the record & Bob for the details. I have a couple of the Royale records and always wondered about the artists!
Another budget label turning up! Great, thanks!
Owner of the Royale label was Eli Oberstein. (he owned also Varsity and plenty others such budget labels).
Just type his name in your favorite browser and you'll discover some amazing stories... A true catalog of the tricks of the music business.
